A Hike Across the Peak District from Sheffield to the Buxton Brewery Tap!

Well I’m a bit behind here as I was busy preparing for and then walking along the Cape Wrath Trail (that’s coming) and thought I better put a quick post up about this walk I did the week before Scotland. The walk crossed the park from Sheffield, across the Mam Tor Ridge and eventually Buxton utilising the Limestone Way quite a bit. It was a long day and there was a lot of climbing involved across the 30 miles. It was enjoyable and getting to Brewery Tap was excellent as Buxton is possibly the best craft brewer in the country. The low point of the day was very brief and involved crossing some god awful fair in the centre of Buxton…
